ACT - American College Test

  • The ACT, short for American College Testing, is a standardized assessment designed to measure high school students' academic readiness for college. Accepted by colleges and universities throughout the United States, the ACT provides valuable insights into students' abilities across key subject areas.  The four subject areas on the test are English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science.

Each section of the ACT is scored on a scale from 1 to 36, with the composite score being the average of these four scores.

The ACT plays a significant role in the college admissions process, providing colleges with valuable information about students' academic abilities and potential for success. Many colleges and universities use ACT scores as part of their admissions criteria, alongside other factors such as GPA, extracurricular activities, and letters of recommendation.

By taking the ACT, students can showcase their academic strengths and readiness for college, helping them to pursue their educational goals and aspirations. With adequate preparation and dedication, students can maximize their ACT scores and open doors to various opportunities for higher education and future success.  Please inquire at your child's school about ACT Prep and testing opportunities.
