    Recognizing School Social Work Week

    Dear CCS School Social Workers,

I am filled with gratitude as we celebrate School Social Work Week from March 3-9. I want to take this moment to express my sincere appreciation for the invaluable support you provide when it matters most.

Your unwavering focus on enhancing critical areas such as student attendance and addressing concerns both inside and beyond the classroom is integral to our students' success. Despite the challenges inherent in your role, your steadfast commitment to our students and families never wavers.

Your dedication aligns perfectly with Priority 3 of our CCS Strategic Plan: Exceptional Environment. By integrating resources, facilities, and staff, we aim to maintain a safe and inviting learning environment where students can flourish academically, socially, and emotionally. Your contributions are essential to realizing this vision.

On behalf of the Cumberland County Board of Education and the entire CCS family, I extend my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you.

With deep gratitude and warm regards,

    Dr. Marvin Connelly Jr.
    Superintendent
