District C Teamship

  • Registration for Summer Learning 2023!
    May 5th is the last day to accept the invitation for Summer Learning 2023!    

    Student Hours: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
                               Lunch will be provided. Transportation will not be provided.  

    When: Three 1-week cohorts from June 12-29, with a 4-day instructional week (Monday-Thursday)    
                    Cohort 1: June 12-15, Douglas Byrd High School
                    Cohort 2: June 19-22, Pine Forest High School
                    Cohort 3: June 26-29, Jack Britt High School

      • One cohort per week
      • 32 different students per cohort 

    Who: All rising 10th, 11th & 12th-grade students are invited to attend.

    Where: Depending on which cohort/week, it will be a different high school (see above). Transportation is not provided. Families must provide transportation to and from the school during the week the student is scheduled.

    Instructional Focus: Students will:

    • Receive an unpaid teamship internship experience
    • Problem-solve using a collaborative think design model
    • Develop and present an authentic business pitch to industry partners

    Your child’s CCS Summer Learning 2023! assignment details will be emailed to their email address May 22-25, 2023. Additionally, your child’s school can provide you with all pertinent location information after May 22.

    Which summer learning program should I enroll my child in?

    Depending on their grade level, students may choose to participate in either the Bridge Academy, Career Accelerator @ FTCC, or District C Teamship. See below for more details.

    • rising 6th-grade student 
    • rising 9th-grade student
    • rising 12th-grade student

    If your child is a…

    • rising 7th through 8th-grade student (CA@FTCC)
    • rising 10th through 12th-grade student (District C Teamship)

    If your child is interested in…

    • participating in out-of-classroom learning including on-site learning through hands-on experiences through STEM and Coding buses, motivational speakers, field trips, and more
    • eliminating skills gaps & accelerating learning
    • preparing for transitioning to middle or high school
    • career exploration

    If your child is interested in…

    • an internship-like experience
    • increasing their social and professional network
    • gaining skills that will make them competitive for any career field
    • solving real-world problems


    Lunch will be provided to all attendees at no cost. Transportation is the responsibility of the student's parent/guardian.
