Registration for Summer Learning 2023! is now open.
May 5th is the last day to accept the invitation for Summer Learning 2023!Student Hours: 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Lunch will be provided. Transportation will not be provided.
Who: All rising 7th & 8th-grade students are invited to attend.When: Three 1-week cohorts from June 12-29
Cohort 1: June 12-15, with a 4-day instructional week (Monday-Thursday)
Cohort 2: June 19-22
Cohort 3: June 26-29-
- One cohort per week
- 30 different students per cohort
Where: Fayetteville Technical Community College (Transportation is not provided. Families must provide transportation to and from FTCC during the week the student is scheduled)Instructional Focus: Middle-grade students will:
- Receive exposure to career pathways
- Complete a personality and learning style assessment
- Create academic and career plans that align with their interests
- Discover their top career interest
- Tour local industries
- Engage in hands-on tours at FTCC to link education and industry.
Your child’s CCS Summer Learning 2023! assignment details will be emailed to their email address May 22-25, 2023. Additionally, your child’s school can provide you with all pertinent location information after May 22.

Which summer learning program should I enroll my child in?
Depending on their grade level, students may choose to participate in either the Bridge Academy, Career Accelerator @ FTCC, or District C Teamship. See below for more details.

- participating in out-of-classroom learning including on-site learning through hands-on experiences through STEM and Coding buses, motivational speakers, field trips, and more
- eliminating skills gaps & accelerating learning
- preparing for transitioning to middle or high school
- career exploration
If your child is interested in…
- an internship-like experience
- increasing their social and professional network
- gaining skills that will make them competitive in any career field
- solving real-world problems
Lunch will be provided to all attendees at no cost. Transportation is the responsibility of the student's parents/guardians.
