Military Student Transitions Consultant: Ms. Sharon Gooden

The MSTC is a highly specialized education professional embedded with the school district. The MSTC is assigned specific schools like South View High School to provide assistance to military-connected students with needs related to increasing support system for social-emotional well-being and transition. The MSTC performs activities and delivers professional development within the school and community to support this goal. The MSTC works directly with children and parents on a daily basis. MSTCs are expected to be subject matter experts on numerous issues to assist our military-connected families – active duty, veteran, retired, National Guard/Reserves, or Civil Service employees.
