• Cumberland County Schools will offer free online tutoring for RISING 2024-2025 6th-grade students from June 10 - July 31, 2024.  The Instructional Programs Department will monitor the implementation of this High Dosage Tutoring during the summer of 2024 and will work directly with FEV and Varsity Tutors.


    Students can utilize a school-issued Chromebook for high-dosage tutoring.   This device will be issued prior to May 31, 2024 and at the conclusion of the High Dosage Summer Tutoring program, the device will be returned upon the conclusion of their tutoring session.


    Details regarding the High Dosage Tutoring for Summer 2024

    • Asynchronous tutoring with a live tutor

    • Students will participate in High Dosage Tutoring at a location determined by their family 

    • Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising their child(ren) and ensuring students participate at the scheduled times in High Dosage Tutoring with their tutor

    • Tutoring sessions will occur 2-3 times per week for 30-45 minutes

    • Session times will occur between the timeframes of 8:00 am-8:00 pm 

    • Parents/guardians  will select on the High Dosage Tutoring Survey, the preferred time frame that works best for their schedule

    • 3 or more unexcused absences will result in removal from the program High Dosage Tutoring

    • Please complete this survey only if you want your child to participate in the High Dosage Tutoring program by Tuesday, May 28, 2024.    

    • The Instructional Programs Department will share information about your child(ren)'s start date and time by May 31, 2024.
