August 25, 2011 will be the first day of school for students on the traditional calendar.

 


Prime Time is a North Carolina Division of Child Development Three Star Rated program at all 43 locations. Prime Time meets enhanced program standards, encourages staff education, and ensures a high compliance history.  Prime Time offers a stable, qualified, trained, and supported workforce which contributes effectively and efficiently to the delivery of quality after school programming that promotes positive child and youth development.

All children in the Cumberland County Schools beginning kindergarten (no younger than 5 by August 31st) through grade five (no older than 12) who can benefit from the program are eligible to attend. Prime Time has the potential to offer before and after school care at all Cumberland County Elementary Schools.  A minimum of 10 participants is required to have a program at your child’s school.  Please do not hesitate to register.  There is a $25.00 non-refundable registration fee and families can choose from several pick-up times and programs to best suit their family’s needs.  Prices start as low as $44.00 for morning only care and go up to $68.00 for before and after school care.  Intersession care is also available to students who attend one of Cumberland County’s Year-Round Elementary Schools.

Prime Time Hours:

Before School Only:
     6:30 A.M. until school begins

Early After School:
     School dismissal until 3:30 P.M.

Partial After School
     School dismissal until 4:30 P.M.

Regular After School
     School dismissal until 6:00 P.M.
 

Eligibility for Enrollment:
All children in Cumberland County Schools beginning kindergarten (no younger than 5 by August 31) through grade five (no older than 12) who can benefit from the program are eligible to attend. Sixth graders (no older than age 13) may attend Prime Time if the middle school where the child attends can transport the child on a bus to an elementary school site that hosts the Prime Time program.

Complete the Prime Time Registration Packet and return packet with registration fee to the Prime Time office, located at 1114 Gillespie Street. Office hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.  Children must be registered by 12:00 p.m. to start the program the same day. Children registered after 12:00 p.m. will start the next school day.

Note: Prime Time does not pro-rate weeks.

Active duty military families are welcome to apply for a discount through a Army funded program called Army School-Age Programs in Your Neighborhood (ASPYN) and National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (NACCRRA).
