During
the 2010-2011 school year, Cumberland County Schools Child Nutrition Services
will be traveling into a new frontier by enabling parents to prepay for their
child’s school meals online.
How does this program work?
Once a transaction is processed in lunchprepay.com, the deposit information is
routed to Child Nutrition Services Point-of-Sale. It is at this point the money
is deposited on the student’s account.
Will the money be immediately available for my child?
In most cases, the money is available for the child on the next school day.
Can I monitor what my child is buying?
Parents can login to lunchprepay.com to make a prepay deposit on their child’s
account. For a ten dollar upgrade fee, parents/guardians can view 45 days worth
of purchase history on their student’s account.
Will there be a service charge when I put money on my child’s lunchroom
account?
Yes, there will be a 5.0 % processing fee charged on each transaction made. If
you place $ 50 on your child’s lunchroom account through lunchprepay.com, $ 50
will go into the account and you will be charged a separate fee of $ 2.50 for
the processing. This will be a total transaction of $ 52.50 to your card
account.
When will this be available at my child’s school?
The program will be available on Tuesday, September 7, 2010.
How do I access this new program?
Access the internet, type in lunchprepay.com and then click on the registration
link and follow the directions (i.e., register, verify, etc.). After completing
this process, a payment can be placed on the student’s account.
